Throwback Thursday: February 5, 2026
In today's edition of Throwback Thursday, we revisit my article on Documentation-First Development--an increasingly useful concept in the age of AI-assisted development.
With over a million words scattered across more than 1,500 articles on this blog, you've probably missed a few things here.
That’s why each week in "Throwback Thursday," we’ll revisit some standout posts. Expect a blend of my personal favorites, insightful articles from other great minds, and a touch of coding humor to keep things light.
Highlights from NoLongerSet.com
I've been doing a lot of AI-assisted development lately (primarily with Claude Code). In that context, documentation-first development has both lower costs (the AI can generate the documentation easily) and greater benefits (the documentation serves as a human and machine-readable "spec" to guide the code generation process). When I get back to writing more original content, I will explore this concept in greater depth.
